JOB DESCRIPTION

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Objective

The Concept Design Manager is responsible for leading the design vision and architectural concept development of projects, ensuring creativity, consistency, and alignment with the product positioning, client requirements, and the company's strategic direction.

Job Description

• Lead and manage the Concept Architect / Concept Designer team.
• Review project briefs and analyze client requirements, project context, market conditions, and design trends.
• Define and develop the overall design concept for projects.
• Directly participate in developing:
  • Architectural concepts
  • Spatial concepts
  • Massing, façade, and material concepts
• Ensure the aesthetic quality, creativity, and feasibility of design concepts.
• Present, explain, and defend design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with technical teams (Architectural Development, MEP, QS, BIM, etc.) to ensure accurate implementation of the approved concept.
• Monitor concept design schedules and deliverable quality.
• Propose optimal design solutions that align with project budgets and objectives.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in architectural design.
• Previous experience in one of the following positions:
  • Concept Design Manager
  • Lead Concept Architect
  • Senior Concept Architect

Professional Skills

• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept design expertise across various project types.
• Proficient in:
  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp / Rhino
  • Adobe Photoshop / InDesign
• Ability to collaborate effectively with 3D visualization and rendering teams.
• Strong design thinking and storytelling capabilities.
• Excellent presentation, communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Good English communication and presentation skills are a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in:
  • High-rise and mixed-use developments
  • Hotels and resorts
  • Urban developments and commercial projects
• Experience working with international clients and developers.
• Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities for junior concept designers.
